ABC Tents is a family-owned tent manufacturing company built on faith, hard work, and a commitment to serving churches, ministries, organizations, and customers throughout the United States and around the world.

Today, the company is proudly led by Tanya “Sissy” Baldwin, who continues the mission and vision she helped build alongside her late husband and company founder, Randy Baldwin. Having spent decades working beside Randy through every stage of the company’s growth, Sissy remains dedicated to preserving the values, quality, and personal service that have defined ABC Tents from the very beginning.

What started as a small family operation built on faith has grown into a trusted name in custom tent manufacturing, serving customers both nationally and internationally while remaining true to the principles that inspired its creation.

Randy & Sissy: Building More Than a Business

The story of ABC Tents is really the story of Randy and Sissy Baldwin.

Their journey began through faith and would eventually lead to a lifetime dedicated to ministry, family, and the tent industry. Together, they spent years traveling throughout the eastern United States building, setting, and servicing tents while learning every aspect of the business firsthand.

Long before ABC Tents became an established company, Randy and Sissy were working side by side, often facing challenges that required determination, sacrifice, and unwavering trust in God.

While Randy became known for his craftsmanship, preaching, and vision for the future, Sissy played an equally important role behind the scenes and in the daily operations that helped keep everything moving forward. Through years of hard work, she became an essential part of the company’s foundation and growth.

The Beginning of Randy’s Journey

Randy Baldwin was born in Florida and raised in Virginia. Growing up in a family with limited means, he learned the value of hard work from an early age.

When Randy was just five years old, he experienced a dream that would remain with him throughout his life. Years later, at the age of seventeen, he gave his life to Christ during a tent revival in Wahneta, Florida. That experience changed the course of his life and sparked a lifelong connection to both ministry and tents.

Soon afterward, Randy began working for respected tent maker David Wine, where he learned the skills, craftsmanship, and dedication that would eventually become the foundation of his own business.

A Partnership Guided by Faith

At the age of twenty-one, Randy attended a revival service in Auburndale, Florida. While praying at the altar, he felt the Lord speak to him and tell him to look toward the stage where he would see his future wife.

That evening, he saw Sissy.

Although they had never met before, that moment marked the beginning of a lifelong partnership built on faith, love, and a shared commitment to serving God.

Together they traveled, worked, ministered, and built a future that would eventually impact churches, ministries, and customers across the country and beyond.

The Birth of ABC Tents

Several years after their marriage, Randy found himself unexpectedly without work after the company he worked for relocated. Faced with supporting a growing family and uncertain about what came next, Randy and Sissy entered one of the most challenging seasons of their lives.

During that time, Randy experienced a powerful vision.

In the vision, the hand of God lifted him out of the mire and placed him upon a rock. The Lord pointed toward a pile of tents and spoke:

“I have seen you go days and weeks without a paycheck. Stay holy before Me and I will bless you. I will turn the tables and bless you mightily.”

Not long afterward, a businessman from Miami named Bill Winkler contacted Randy and offered him the opportunity to set up tents for seasonal events. More importantly, he entrusted Randy with sixteen tents to care for and rent throughout the year.

Those sixteen tents became the beginning of what would eventually grow into ABC Tents.

Together, Randy and Sissy transformed that opportunity into a successful family business built on faith, hard work, and a commitment to helping others.

A Mission That Continues Today

Throughout the years, faith has remained at the center of the company.

Randy believed tents could be much more than structures. He believed they could become places where people gathered, communities connected, lives were changed, and the Gospel was shared.

One message that remained especially important to him was:

“Make It Affordable for My Ministers”

That principle continues to guide ABC Tents today.

Sissy remains committed to ensuring that the company continues serving churches and ministries while maintaining the same customer-focused approach that Randy believed in throughout his life.

Carrying the Legacy Forward

Although Randy has gone home to be with the Lord, his influence continues to be felt every day through the company he built and the people he inspired.

Today, Sissy continues leading ABC Tents with the same values that have guided the company for decades: faith, integrity, quality workmanship, and a commitment to serving others.

Having been there from the very beginning, she understands not only the products and services the company provides, but also the purpose behind them.

Her dedication to customers, ministries, and the family legacy has helped ABC Tents continue moving forward while remaining true to its roots.

Every tent manufactured today reflects the same commitment to quality, service, and faith that Randy and Sissy worked together to establish many years ago.

For many years, Randy believed every tent should carry the scripture that inspired the mission behind the company:
